In this activity, the child(ren) increase their patterning skills, specifically, their ability to predict what comes next.
Instruct the children to find the last tile that completes the pattern.
Pro Tip! Attach Velcro pieces to the pattern tiles and pattern cards.

Dump Truck Counting Mat
Use this fun dump truck counting mat to practice mathematical awareness skills and one-to-one correspondence skills as children count to determine quantities, and match objects to a set of numbers.
This activity can be so much fun by having the children fill the dump truck with different materials such as rocks, small stones, or even small cars.
Pro Tip! When children use movable objects it helps them to keep track of the numbers they have counted. This way they do not count numbers twice and are able to further develop their one-to-one correspondence skills. Counting mats are great fun!
Transport Number Pin
This activity increases hand eye coordination and number sense at the same time!
Simply count the transport vehicles and instruct the child(ren) to clip a clothespin on the number that matches the amount of vehicles on the card. If clothespins are unavailable, have the children colour the answer.
Transport Alphabet Dig
Children love this hands on sensory bin activity.
Simply place the alphabet cards in a sensory bin with your choice of material. Sand is super fun!
Provide the children with small shovels and tongs to “dig” out the vehicles. Once they’ve identified the letter, find the matching road on the recording mat by marking it with a counter, or dabbing it with a bingo dabber.
