Gingerbread Matching Activity
There are many ways to engage in this activity with infants and toddlers.
For instance, try placing one half of the cards in a sensory and giving your infant or toddler one card at a time. Encourage them to look for the other half to complete the card.
Or even simpler, place one half of two different cards under a blanket or small cloth, and give your learner one card. Enthusiastically lift the cloth and encourage them to find the other half.
You can increase the amount of cards you use depending on your learner.
This works perfect if you are out and need an engaging and fun activity for your little one. Infants and toddlers loooooove searching for playthings that disappear out of sight! And it helps them understand object permanence.
Wait… did I mention that these are super low prep? Simply print, laminate, and cut! And the best part is they’re free 🙂
